EAL Assessment Centre

In order to ensure that training is carried out to National Standards, it is essential to have Quality Assurance built into the assessment system for assessing competence within the NVQ system.
This involves training assessors and verifiers to very high standards within the NVQ system and to National Standard requirements.

The skill of the assessors is to discuss what skills/competence is required with the candidate and employer and then to design the package around those requirements.

The assessor will then work with the candidate to ensure evidence is generated to demonstrate competence against the area being assessed.

The Centre is subjected to rigorous inspection every six months by Engineering Awards Ltd, where assessment and verification decisions to National Standards have to be justified to maintain Centre status. Our Centre has now been accredited with "Exemplary Status" of which we are very proud and intend maintaining.

We were the first Centre in North Staffordshire to meet these demanding requirements.
