Engineering Maintenance can be a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification dependent on the candidates capabilities and GCSE results.

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge in one or more of a wide variety in areas which include:

  • Mechanical
  • Electrical
  • Fluid Power
  • Engineered Systems
  • Service Maintenance
  • Lift Servicing
  • Lift Repair and Service
  • Instrumentation and Control

What are the entry requirements?

Level 3: GCSE grades between A* – C for English, Maths and ICT.

Level 2: GCSE grades above D would be preferred for English, Maths and ICT.

Where will the training take place?

An apprenticeship is on-the-job training with 4 days in the workplace and to attend college for 1 day a week for theory and practical over 2 years.

What will you be working towards?

Level 3: You will be working towards a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering Maintenance on an Advanced Engineering Apprenticeship.

Level 2: You will be working towards a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance on an Intermediate Engineering Apprenticeship.
